Iowa man is arrested for DUI near Mitchell
An Iowa man was arrested Oct. 15 for his third driving under the influence charge.
Robert Molitor, 54, Rock Rapids, Iowa, was stopped for speeding on state Highway 37 near Mitchell. Molitor was going 50 in a 45 mph zone.
A South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper determined through field sobriety tests that Molitor was under the influence. His blood alcohol was 0.084. The legal driving limit is 0.08.
A third DUI within a 10-year period is a felony charge with a maximum sentence of two years in prison, a $2,000 fine or both.
