Hydraulic tube plant in Webster doubling workforce
WEBSTER (AP) -- A plant in the northeastern South Dakota city of Webster that makes hydraulic tubes for construction and farm equipment is doubling its workforce.
According to media reports, Dakota Tube is hiring 30 workers. The Watertown-based business currently employs 29 people in Webster.
Company officials say a strong farm economy has the Watertown plant "bulging at the seams," and the business needs to expand production.
