The Mitchell Marlin girls’ hockey team allowed four second period goals in a 6-3 loss to the Huron All Stars Sunday at the Mitchell Activities Center.

Brook Tschetter and Hope Goethel each tallied two goals for Huron in the win.

The Marlins started strong, scoring first on a goal from Alexandra Jones less than four minutes into the first period and took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

The All Stars came out firing in the second as Tschetter gave her team the lead with two goals in less than four minutes.

Kayla Murtha evened the score for Mitchell, but the tie was short lived as the All Stars would find the back of the net twice more in the second for a 4-2 lead after two periods.

The teams each took four penalties, with Huron's Goethel scoring the game’s lone power play goal.
