Slater allegedly fled from an officer who attempted to make a stop of Slater's vehicle in the 1700 block of North Main after law enforcement received a report of a possible drunken driver, according to court documents.

During the pursuit, multiple officers tailed Slater at speeds of up to 70 mph, court documents say. Slater eventually pulled into an apartment parking lot in the 2800 block of North Ohlman Street and was arrested around 9 p.m.

Slater smelled strongly of alcohol and had watery eyes, and later admitted to being intoxicated during the incident, court documents say.

He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
