Heisinger, Hazen join four other area recruits for Tigers
Two additional area football players have committed to play for Ross Cimpl next season.
Mitch Heisinger, of Parkston, and Sam Hazen, of Burke, are among 25 signees for the next season's Dakota Wesleyan University football team.
Heisinger, a 6-foot, 195-pound linebacker, helped lead the Trojans to a second-place finish this season. As a senior, he ran for 800 yards and 12 touchdowns and finished with 121 tackles and four interceptions.
Hazen, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound defensive lineman, recorded 70 tackles for the Burke/South Central Cougars in his senior season. He finished with eight tackles for a loss, five sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Heisinger and Hazen are added to four other area recruits -- Brandon Kocmich, Turner Serr, Lane Fawcett and Dakota Bodden.
The Tigers are still looking to add to the list of recruits for the 2014 season, Cimpl said in a press release.
