Health and Wellness Fair to be held Friday
The 21st Annual Mitchell Chamber Health and Wellness Fair is being held Feb. 1.
The event, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mitchell Christian School, gives a chance to speak with more than 40 health care professionals, including dental and chiropractic care, alternative medicine, nutrition and exercise specialists, as well as others. Admission is free.
There will be a frozen foot 5k/1-mile run, kids fitness course, self-defense class every hour, health screenings, entertainment and speakers.
There will also be many screenings available free of charge or for minimum cost, including the following:
Omnicycle and grip strength testing, blood glucose, hearing screening, lipid profile screening ($10), vision screening, eye pressure for glaucoma screening, vascular screening ($25), blood typing, foot scanning, youth T-dap shots, oral cancer screening, blood pressure, BMI/body fat analysis, heart scan ($25).
