BROOKINGS (AP) — The Brookings City Council on Tuesday will consider whether to change its code to allow residents to keep chickens in town.


The Brookings Register reports that a group of hobbyists wants the city to approve urban chicken-keeping — hens only — and the council will have to decide whether to change the city ordinance that greatly limits that possibility.
