Gregory man who died in crash fled law enforcement
MILLS, Neb. -- A Gregory man who died in a car crash Saturday in Nebraska was fleeing law enforcement during the time of the crash.
Russell Moerike, 47, was being pursued by the South Dakota Highway Patrol before he crossed into Nebraska in Keya Paha County, according to a press release from County State's Attorney Eric Scott. Once over the border, Moerike lost control of his vehicle and it rolled. He died in the crash, just north of Mills, Neb.
The investigation is ongoing.
