Get a free flu vaccine Tuesday at Corn Palace
The local Point of Dispensing (POD) emergency group will offer free flu vaccinations to people of any age who attend from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Corn Palace, Mitchell.
The vaccine is being provided by the state Department of Health and will be the injectable form only — no mist. People who prefer the mist may contact the community health office at 995-8050 or their private physician for mist availability.
This event is staffed entirely by community volunteers and exercises the POD plan. In the event of an emergency or disaster, the POD plan is in place to deliver vaccine and medicines and treatment to large quantities of people in the shortest amount of time.
Questions may be directed to Natalie VanDrongelen, RN, at (605) 995-8051.
