He did not score in the team's first-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Miller, who did not return phone calls to The Daily Republic for this story, played for three minutes each in the first two games of the series and did not see action in the final three games against the 76ers.

The conference semifinals against the Boston Celtics had Miller with a larger role. Miller, who is in his first season with the Heat after signing a five-year, $25 million contract this past offseason, played in all five games against the Celtics. He scored three points in a Game 2 victory and had two points in the Game 5 clincher. He also had six rebounds and five assists in the series against Boston.

This is the first time Miller has been in the playoffs since the 2005-06 season when he played for the Memphis Grizzlies. He had never been out of the first round of the postseason until this year and won his first playoff game since 2002 when the Heat were victorious in Game 1 against Philadelphia.

Miller played in 41 games during the regular season while battling injuries to his thumb, shoulder, knee and ankle at various times this season.
