Former Pierre mayor Eisnach named president of AARP SD
SIOUX FALLS (AP) -- Former Pierre mayor and PUC Commissioner Dennis Eisnach is the new state president for AARP South Dakota.
The media reports that Eisnach replaces Patrick Gross who recently completed a six-year term in the volunteer position. Eisnach has served on the AARP South Dakota Executive Council, including as the interim state president. He also has served as superintendent of the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
Eisnach says issues like affordable utilities, transportation concerns and health care are important issues for South Dakotans.
AARP state director Sarah Jennings says Eisnach's passion and enthusiasm will have a strong impact on the organization.
