Forest Service seeks comment on Railroad Buttes
HOT SPRINGS (AP) -- The U.S. Forest Service is seeking comment on ways to improve recreation opportunities at an off-highway-vehicle area near Rapid City.
The Forest Service is hosting a meeting on July 24 about ways to improve the experience at Railroad Buttes, a popular recreational area about 15 miles southeast of Rapid City.
Mike McNeill, Fall River District ranger, says improvements include adding gravel, picnic tables, public toilets and a Kiosk with information. Another improvement under consideration is adding a "tot lot" for beginning riders.
The public has 30 days to comment on the improvements.
