First jail term eliminated for Plankinton teen due to good behavior
PLANKINTON -- A Plankinton teen who was sentenced in November for accidentally shooting another teen will not be required to serve the first 30 days of his 150-day jail term.
Logan Evans, 18, was scheduled to start serving 30 days in jail on March 1, but was released from that sentence due to good behavior under supervision, according to court documents.
He is scheduled to serve 30 days each starting Oct. 1; March 1, 2015; and Oct. 1, 2015.
In November, Evans received a suspended five-year prison sentence for aggravated assault for accidentally shooting his friend and fellow schoolmate, 17-year-old Nick Lawson, in June.
