Fire displaces dozens at Rapid City motel
RAPID CITY (AP) — Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that displaced dozens of people staying at a motel in Rapid City.
No serious injuries were reported in the Wednesday night fire at the Stardust Motel, though one person was checked out by paramedics on the scene. Investigators say the blaze broke out on one side of the two-story motel's second floor. At least one room was gutted.
The Red Cross reports that as many as 50 people were displaced. They were being put up in another motel in the city.
