The Booster Club would like to inform everyone that the fruit delivery date is Tuesday. Fruit will be available for pick-up at the schoolfrom 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thanks to everyone who sold fruit.

The annual Seahawk Awards Banquet was Dec. 1 at the Emery School. Following is a list of awards and the recipients:

Most Valuable Player: Wade Miiller; Best Offensive Lineman: Tyler Myers; Best Defensive Lineman: Tyler Myers and Camden Myers; Hustler Award: Jordan Grosdidier and Blake Bartscher; Most Improved: J.D. Shape; Anthony Donovan and Jaden Weber; Unsung Hero, Jace Connor, Jordan Grosdidier and Hanner Tilberg; Headhunter: Camden Myers.

The following players were named to All-Cornbelt Conference: Tyler Myers, Jaden Weber, Blake Bartscher, J.D. Shape, Wade Miiller, Jordan Grosdidier, Camden Myers and Honorable Mention, Ethan Riggs.

The following players were awarded 9AA Academic All-State: J.D. Shape, Blake Bartscher and Jace Connor. Wade Miiller, Tyler Myers, Blake Bartscher, Jordan Grosdidier and Camden Myers were also named to the 9AA All-State team.

The “Friends of Football Award” was given to Lesley and Hank Bartscher, Ethan; and Angie Harberts, Bridgewater-Emery.

The following students participated in the Mount Marty Oral Interp Contest on Dec. 4. The results are as follows: Brittan Flanagan, third in drama and third in humorous; Brenna Roth, first in prose; Ally Feiner, third in oratory; and Callie Hohn, second in humorous. Their adviser is Karen Freeman.

Upcoming Events:

Monday: School board meeting, 6 p.m., library.

Tuesday: Girls’ basketball vs. Hanson, away, 6:15 p.m.; Fruit sales pickup, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the school.

Thursday: Grades 7-12 Christmas concert, 7 p.m., gym.

Saturday: Boys’ basketball vs. Hanson, home, 6:30 p.m.
