Emory Hall, 90, previously from Fulton, died Oct. 19, 2013. Emory was born to Emory and Ethel Hall at Kinsman, Ohio, March 9, 1923. Emory and his brothers, Harold and Donald, moved with their parents to SD in 1928. Emory graduated from Indiana Tech as a mechanical engineer and was a licensed P.E.
Emory worked at Indiana Michigan Power at Mishawaka, Indiana and REA in Washington, DC before moving to Vancouver, WA. There he managed three hydro electric plants before working for Bonneville Power Administration in Portland for 26 years.
Emory and Betty had two sons: Emory III and John Alan. After living at Fulton for several years, where he attended Methodist Church and enjoyed Mitchell Toastmasters, Emory moved to Lancaster to be with family. As his health failed, Emory moved to Bellingham where he spent his final years in a nursing home.
Emory is survived by sons Emory III and John Alan (Colleen) and grandchildren Kristiana and Jeremy; sister: Beverly (Russell) Middleton of Madison WI; brothers: Rodney (Deanna), Mitchell and Courtney (Mary) Fulton. Also surviving is a sister-in-law LaVon Hall, Fulton and many nieces and nephews.
Emory was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his parents and his brothers Harold, Donald and LaVerne.
Emory's cremains will be interred at Williamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon at a later date.
