DWU's Cimpl adds five to 2014 football roster

Dakota Wesleyan University football coach Ross Cimpl has added five to the roster for the 2014 season, including two area players.

Kennebec native Dillon DeJong and Montrose native Matthew Fee join three others -- Andrew Paulson, Tyson Wendell and Bruce White -- who round out the 39-man recruiting class.

DeJong, a 6-foot, 270-pound lineman, recorded 65 tackles, five sacks, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery as a senior with Lyman High School.

Fee, a 6-foot-3 defensive end, averaged 5.3 tackles per game for McCook Central/Montrose.

Paulson, a quarterback, joins the team with two years of eligibility after transferring. As a sophomore last season, he threw for 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns. Wendell, of Norfolk, Neb., is a linebacker and White, another junior transfer, is a cornerback.
