DWU women roll past Kansas Wesleyan for first win of season

CRETE, Neb. — Mitchell native Kristin Sabers had 17 points in her first collegiate basketball game to help the Dakota Wesleyan University women beat Kansas Wesleyan University 81-66 Friday at the Doane Classic.

The Tigers (1-0) jumped out to a 32-17 lead at halftime. DWU guard and Alexandria native Amanda Hart had 14 points in the first half, finishing with a team-high 20 points.
