DWU men add BHSU transfer Mitchell

The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team added a transfer signee in former Black Hills State University guard Joey Mitchell, it was announced Monday.

Mitchell, who played his high school basketball at Hitchcock-Tulare, averaged eight points, 2.8 rebounds per game in his junior season in 2013-14. He also made 42.6 percent of his three-point shots, while playing in all 26 and starting 16 games for the Yellow Jackets.

Wilber said Mitchell will be a senior and is eligible to play at the start of the season. He will play both guard positions for the Tigers in 2014-15.
