Downtown Mitchell gears up for Wingapalooza Saturday

Who has the best wings in the region? You decide.

This year marks the third annual Mitchell Main Street & Beyond Wingapalooza, which will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Masonic Temple, downtown Mitchell.

The competitors are: Dale’s A-1 Transmission; Klock Werks; County Fair Food Store; Whiskey Creek; The Depot; Blarney’s; Winged Warriors (MTI Culinary); Porter’s Distributing Company; American Garage Door Co.; Booze Brothers Barbecue.

These 10 competitors will be making 3,000 wings and offering almost 30 different sauces for attendees to taste and vote on.

The winner will receive a cash prize. Proceeds from Wingapalooza will go toward revitalizing downtown Mitchell and generating more community events.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased at Coborn’s, County Fair Food Store, the MMS&B office or online at mitchellmainstreet.com. Mitchell Technical Institute and Dakota Wesleyan
