DWU took a 1-0 lead in the sixth inning of the second game on an RBI single by Cole Wenande, but Doane tied the game in the second and took the lead with two runs in the eighth for a 3-1 win.

Wes Snyder started on the mound for DWU in the second game, going seven innings, allowing one run and striking out three. Wenande finished with two of the three DWU hits, while Jared Neilan added the other. DWU committed six errors in the game two loss and nine total in the doubleheader.
