This diagram of Sixth Avenue directly south of the Corn Palace shows what the street could soon look like, according to a concept approved Monday night by the Mitchell City Council. Part of the street will be closed and converted to a green space, while part of the street will remain to allow access to and from a parking lot in the area. The street has been temporarily closed during recent summers to allow viewing of the Corn Palace decoration process. (Image courtesy of the city of Mitchell)
