Deadwood casino fine, license suspension headed into court
DEADWOOD (AP) — A Deadwood casino lost in its appeal of a fine and suspension of its gaming license.
The South Dakota Commission on Gaming denied a request from the Platinum Ventures and its Four Aces Casino to reconsider the $25,000 fine and 15-day suspension.
The Rapid City Journal reports the next option for the casino is to take the issue to court.
Gaming Commission Executive Director Larry Eliason says the commission agreed to delay the penalties until Platinum Ventures gets a court ruling. He says it's the largest fine levied in the history of legalized gaming in Deadwood.
