David J. "Dave" Tobin

David J. "Dave" Tobin, 54 of Sergeant Bluff, died Wednesday, October 30th, 2013 at his residence.

A celebration of his life will be held from 10 am to noon on Saturday, November 2st, 2013 with the family present at Waterbury Funeral Home in Sergeant Bluff. A private family burial and graveside service will be held Monday, November 4th at Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell, SD.

Dave was born October 30, 1959 in Omaha, NE to Paul and Shirley (Wittkop) Tobin. He graduated from Mitchell High School. Dave spent his career working in the aviation industry as an aircraft mechanic and inspector. He worked for Jetsun Aviation for the past 15 years.

He was known to those around him as "Mr. Fix-It" able to tackle any project that came his way. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, spending weekends in Niobrara with his family, and cooking breakfast for his sisters at the Crystal Caf. Dave had a special bond with all of his nieces and nephews and their families. He was considered a "Grandpa" to niece and nephews Kendal, Carter, Cole and Brayton that lived near him in Sergeant Bluff.

Dave is survived by his father, Paul Tobin of Mitchell SD; Sisters, Paula(Tom) Hunstad and Sue(Phil) Collins; Brothers, Mark(Paulette), Matt(Betsy), Dan(Jill) and John(Rebecca), Steve and Michael; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Tobin; sisters Betsy Bueltel and Mary Priscilla Tobin; and brother-in-law, James Bueltel.
