Dakota State U. basketball fieldhouse getting upgrade

MADISON (AP) — Dakota State University is working on a $509,000 project to improve its basketball fieldhouse and make it easier for fans to watch games.

The Daily Leader reports that the project includes adding a new bleacher system, and painting the walls and sanding the floor to make it lighter in the gym.

Changes also are planned in the lobby — carpeting and better lighting for the trophy case.

Athletic Director Jeff Dittman says the project should be done Aug. 15.
