Dakota State paying $1.6M for hospital building
MADISON (AP) — Dakota State University plans to pay $1.6 million for the Madison Community Hospital building that's being replaced.
University President David Borofsky tells the Madison Daily Leader that consultants are looking at the facility to determine its best use.
Construction is getting underway on a new, $37 million hospital in the city. Ground was broken last week, and the new hospital is to open in May 2015.
The university expects to begin renovations that year to the old hospital, which is just north of the campus.
