Crunch: Frito Lay truck totaled because of deer
WAGNER -- A Frito Lay truck was totaled Wednesday afternoon when a deer ran into it in Charles Mix County.
The driver was traveling west on S.D. Highway 46 into Wagner when a deer jumped onto the road and collided into the front end of the truck, said Charles Mix County Deputy Sheriff Chelsea Biehl. The Frito Lay truck was totaled, she added, and the deer died.
The driver was not injured, was wearing his seat belt and was traveling below the speed limit. No citations were issued, Biehl said.
Biehl declined to release the driver's name because he was not cited for anything.
