Crash near White Lake involves six children, but no one injured
WHITE LAKE -- No one was injured in a crash Monday afternoon north of White Lake involving a semi and another vehicle carrying six children from school.
According to Aurora County Sheriff's Deputy Roman Briggs, both vehicles were heading north on 374th Avenue when the vehicle carrying six children, plus a driver, attempted to turn west onto 248th Street, about four miles north of White Lake, when the rear of the vehicle was struck by the semi and then thrown into the ditch.
Briggs declined to release the names of any of the people involved in the crash, but said the driver of the semi was ticketed for careless driving.
All of those involved in the crash are believed to have been wearing seat belts, Briggs said.
