Former police chief found guilty of murder

Crash leads to arrest of local man

A man involved in a two-vehicle crash May 16 in Mitchell now faces drunken driving and hit-and-run charges.

Arlington Milk, 47, of Mitchell, was arrested after allegedly leaving the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Havens Avenue and Sanborn Boulevard. Law enforcement allegedly found Milk about three blocks from the scene of the crash. According to a police affidavit, Milk was "extremely intoxicated," could not keep his balance, had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol.

He was charged with second-offense drunken driving, hit-and-run causing property damage and driving with a revoked license.

Milk is scheduled to appear in court in June.
