Construction on Highway 37 between Mitchell and Tripp starts Monday
Pavement repair work will begin on Highway 37 from one-quarter mile south of Spruce Street in Mitchell to two miles north of Tripp on Monday, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
Traffic on the 29-mile project will be controlled with flaggers and a pilot car during working hours and possibly during the overnight hours, if the concrete has not reached sufficient strength.
Motorists can expect short delays and may want to consider an alternate route.
Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 1.
The prime contractor is Diamond Surface, Inc., of Rogers, Minn.
