Most of South Dakota has seen a frost this fall, including a killer frost, according to the High Plains Region Climate Center in Lincoln, Neb.

Sioux Falls saw its first frost of 32 degrees or lower and a killer frost of 28 degrees or lower on Oct. 13. The average date for a killer frost in Sioux Falls is Oct. 8 and Sept. 30 for a non-killer frost.

Huron also experienced its first frost on Oct. 13 but not a killer frost. The average killer frost date in Huron is Oct. 7 and Sept. 28 for a non-killer frost.
