Child abuse prevention and awareness walk scheduled in Chamberlain
CHAMBERLAIN -- First Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Walk in honor of Mason Naser will be held at noon on Saturday at American Creek Campground in Chamberlain.
Raffle tickets will be sold for a star quilt and beaded earrings. Justice For Mason T-shirts will be available for $15 in adult sizes small to XL. After the walk, winners of the quilt and earrings will be announced.
Vegetable soup, fry bread, wojapi, hot dogs and chips will be available after the walk at the American Creek Campground shelter. Money from the raffle and T-shirt sales will go toward an Easter egg hunt in Lower Brule and sponsorship of Tiny Tots at the Lower Brule powwow. Information will be presented during lunch about the impact child abuse has on families and victims.
