Change of plea hearing scheduled in Guevara murder case

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley and Hanson County State's Attorney Jim Davies advised the media this afternoon that a change of plea hearing has been scheduled in the case of State of South Dakota v. Alexander Salgado for 8 a.m. Monday.

The hearing will be held at the Davison County Public Safety Center in Mitchell.

No further information was immediately provided.

Salgado pleaded not guilty in November to the killing that same month of Jasmine Guevara, 16, of Mitchell. An unidentified juvenile was also arrested for the killing.
