Chamberlain woman arrested for truck theft
FORT THOMPSON -- Buffalo County Sheriff Wayne Willman said a Chamberlain woman was arrested on multiple charges Friday that include the theft of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup.
Toni Baker-Legg, 33, of Chamberlain, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. Friday east of Fort Thompson, following a traffic stop south of Highway 34 on Highway 50.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol assisted in the arrest, Willman said, and multiple charges are pending. Baker-Legg was alone when she was arrested, he said.
Willman said the pickup was stolen from the McDonald's parking lot in Chamberlain on Wednesday.
