CBH sweeps Cornbelt in senior all-star games

ALEXANDRIA - The Custer Battlefield Highway Conference teams swept the Cornbelt Conference in the senior all-star games Tuesday at Hanson High School in Alexandria.

The CBH girls’ team beat the Cornbelt girls 86-63. Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Becca Glanzer led all players with 16 points. Mitchell Christian’s Cassidy Graham had 14 points, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket’s Shelby Selland had 13 points and Rachel Selland had 10 points for the CBH team. Hanson’s Leah Marsh had 10 points to lead the way for the Cornbelt squad, while Hanson’s Sydney Dodd added nine points and Menno’s Kylee Kessler had eight points.

The CBH boys beat the Cornbelt boys 110-66. Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Deric Denning had 24 points, Darren Fallis added 20 points and Ethan’s Tyler Myers had 13 points for the CBH team. Marion’s Nick Gortmaker and Jacob Wuertz each had a team-high 14 points for the Cornbelt team, while Bridgewater-Emery’s Wade Miller added 11 points.
