WESSINGTON SPRINGS -- Sheyanne Brodkorb, Cassidy Musick and Shyanne Kopfmann each scored in double figures to lead Wessington Springs past Howard 59-41 Monday in a girls' high school basketball game.

Brodkorb had a game-high 18 points, Musick had 11 points and Kopfmann finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Mindy Kraft also had 10 rebounds.

Wessington Springs was 23-of-69 from the field, 11-of-19 from the free-throw line and had 15 turnovers.

Howard's Erika Bamsey had a team-high 10 points. Kelsey Dawson had nine points.

The Tigers were 16-of-56 from the field, 9-of-12 from the free-throw line and had 37 rebounds to Wessington Springs' 43.

Wessington Springs (6-12) hosts Miller on Thursday, while Howard (1-15) plays at Baltic today.

Ethan 56, Dakota Christian 36

ETHAN -- Ethan broke away in the second quarter to beat Dakota Christian 56-36 in a girls' high school basketball game Monday night.

Ethan was led by Bailey Grenoble, who had 18 points and five steals. Shelly Tilberg had 14 points and Darbi Gustafson had 10 points.

Morgan Tuttle finished with 10 rebounds and Tilberg and Gustafson each had seven rebounds. Kaci Tuttle had seven assists.

Ethan was 23-of-52 from the field, 6-of-8 from the free-throw line and had 13 turnovers.

Dakota Christian's Brooke VanderPol had 12 points and five steals and Sara DeWaard and Laurel Zomer finished with 10 points and nine rebounds apiece.

Dakota Christian was 15-of-42 from the field, 6-of-18 from the free-throw line and 28 turnovers.

Ethan (13-4) plays at Marion today, while Dakota (6-10) plays Friday at James Valley Christian in Huron.

CANISTOTA --Canistota's Haley Jerman had 19 points and eight rebounds in a 51-46 win over Dell Rapids St. Mary Monday in a girls' high school basketball game.

Canistota's Chloe Nielsen had 12 points and six rebounds and Natasha Letcher had six rebounds.

Canistota was 21-of-41 from the field, 8-of-16 from the free-throw line and led 24-13 at halftime.

DRSM was led by Mikayla Brown's eight rebounds and Amber Hansen had six assists.

BRIDGEWATER -- Shelby Selland's 32 points and seven rebounds led Sanborn Central/Woonsocket past Bridgewater-Emery 64-54 Monday night.

Marissa Weber had 12 points for SC/W, which was 28-of-60 from the field, 8-of-13 from the free-throw line and had 16 turnovers.

Bridgewater-Emery's Justine Dye had 15 points, Marissa Schwans had 11 points and Elizabeth Schnabel finished with nine rebounds.

The Huskies were 20-of-54 from the field, 8-of-12 from the line and had 22 turnovers.

SCW (14-2) hosts Iroquois on Tuesday in Woonsocket, while B-E (7-10) is at Marion on Friday.

SCOTLAND -- Logan Wagner and Erica Herrold combined for 53 points to lead Parkston past Scotland 81-65 Monday.

Wagner finished with 27 points and six assists and Herrold had 26 points. Marie Malloy had a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals.

Scotland's Aisha Abbink had 16 points, Haley Brunke had 15 points and Kennidy Asche and Ashley Alvey each had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Parkston is 12-3 and hosts Lennox on Thursday, while Scotland is 12-5 and plays at Gregory on Friday.

Bon Homme 82, Platte-Geddes 54

PLATTE -- Bon Homme's Tara Ronke scored her 1,000th career point in an 82-54 win over Platte-Geddes Monday.

Ronke had a game-high 30 points and she added six rebounds. Raquel Sutera had 21 points and 14 rebounds and Karlee Kozak had 12 points.

Platte-Geddes was led by Josie DeGroot's 15 points. Kellee Griese had 13 points and Kelly Knudson had 10 points.

Bon Homme (13-5) plays at Dakota Christian on Saturday, while Platte-Geddes (7-11) plays Thursday at Winner.

Parkston 56, Scotland 34

SCOTLAND -- Parkston had three scorers in double figures in a 56-34 win over Scotland Monday night in a boys' high school basketball game.

Parker Van Zee had a team-high 11 points for the Trojans, who were 21-of-59 from the field and 6-of-10 from the free-throw line. Tanner Weber and Jalen Hurley each had 10 points. Weber and Spencer Lucas also had four rebounds apiece.

Scotland's Dalton Mogck had 12 points and Garrett Kotalik had seven rebounds. The Highlanders were 10-of-30 from the field and 11-of-16 from the free-throw line.

Parkston (6-10) plays in Tea on Friday, while Scotland (1-14) plays at Centerville today.

FREEMAN --Freeman's Shaun Becker had 15 points, six asssists and 10 rebounds in a 54-42 win over Hanson Monday night.

Hanson led 37-36 after three quarters and dropped its record to 11-5 on the season.

Freeman's Caleb Lang had 10 points and five rebounds and Jordan Rinehard had 12 points.

The Flyers were 19-of-46 from the field, 12-of-15 from the free-throw line and had eight turnovers.

Hanson's Jacob Bartscher had 15 points and nine rebounds. Alex Kayser and Jordan Marquardt each had eight rebounds.

Hanson was 15-of-48 from the field, 8-of-15 from the free-throw line and had 13 turnovers. Both teams had 27 rebounds.

Freeman (9-7) hosts Corsica/Stickney on Thursday, while Hanson hosts Mitchell Christian on Thursday.

MENNO -- Caleb Preszler's nine points led Menno in a 31-26 win over Marion in a boys' high school basketball game Monday.

Jacob Wurtz had 12 points for Marion.

Menno was 13-of-34 from the field and 4-of-12 from the free-throw line. Marion was 12-of-33 from the field and was 2-of-10 from the free-throw line.

Menno (6-11) plays Canistota on Thursday, while Marion (1-12) plays Ethan today.

Andes Central 74, Marty 50

LAKE ANDES -- Andes Central got a double-double from Aaron Swanson and three other players recorded double-scoring figures in a 74-50 win over Marty Monday night.

Swanson had 12 points and 14 rebounds, Gabe Cournoyer had 18 points, Joe Evans had 16 points and Zach Cournoyer had 13 points.

Gabe Cournoyer and Joey Evans each had eight rebounds for Andes Central, which shot 32 percent from the field and 74 percent from the free-throw line.

Marty's Armando Iron Elk had a team-high 21 points.

Andes Central (5-9) plays South Central on Thursday in Bonesteel.

WOLSEY -- Sanborn Central/Woonsocket held a 32-8 halftime lead and went on to win 61-23 over Wolsey-Wessington in a girls' high school basketball game Saturday.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was led by Shelby Selland's 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Rachel Selland had eight points and Rachelle Moore, Morgan Selland and Myah Selland each had six points.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was 25-of-62 from the field, 10-of-19 from the free-throw line and had 36 rebounds.

Wolsey-Wessington's Meagen Eggleston had a team-high 10 points. W-W was 8-of-42 from the field, 4-of-15 from the free-throw line and had 29 rebounds.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket hosts Iroquois in Woonsocket today.
