Black Hills Power closing four service centers in SD
RAPID CITY (AP) — Black Hills Power is closing customer service centers in Belle Fourche, Newell, Deadwood and Hot Springs.
Officials say the decision is based on customers’ ability to pay bills online or over the telephone, and a 45 percent drop in walk-in traffic over the past five years. Customers also can continue to pay bills by mail.
The closures take effect Feb. 3. Customers in Spearfish, Sturgis, Rapid City, Custer, and in Newcastle, Wyo., still will have the walk-in option.
