Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce president quits
BELLE FOURCHE (AP) — The Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce president has resigned — the latest chapter in a disagreement between the chamber and Belle Fourche City Council.
KBFS-AM reports that Jeff Otterman is also pastor of a church and cited conflicts of interest within his congregation as the reason.
The new chamber president will be Fritz Carlson. The new board member will be Mary Kay Budmayer.
The City Council earlier this month removed all funding for the Chamber of Commerce and served the chamber with an eviction notice to be effective April 17.
The chamber says it might take the issue to a public vote.
