Bartender arrested for assault at Thirsty's
A working bartender at Thirsty's Bar in Mitchell was arrested last week after allegedly pushing a customer by her throat.
Judy Lynn Hall, 45, was arrested by a Mitchell patrol officer after she was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a customer, Andrea Finnell.
Hall allegedly pushed Finnell into a corner by her throat.
Simple assault is a misdemeanor punishable by one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
Hall was released on an unsecured bond and is scheduled to appear in court in early March.
The arrest occurred two days before 34-year-old William Watkins, of Mitchell, was sentenced to 13 years in prison, with five years suspended.
He was ordered to pay more than $650,000 in restitution for his aggravated assault on North Dakota man Clint Dreyer in the parking lot of Thirsty's in September.
Another Thirsty's employee, manager Thomas Somerville, was charged with simple assault in the incident involving Dreyer, which allegedly occurred immediately prior to the assault by Watkins.
Somerville pleaded not guilty to the charge in December and is scheduled for a two-day jury trial in April.
