Avera St. Luke's to open clinic in Ipswich
IPSWICH (AP) -- Avera St. Luke's Hospital plans to open a clinic in Ipswich in August.
President and CEO Todd Forkel says the hospital serves many Ipswich-area patients, and the decision to open the clinic stems from the hospital's commitment to provide health care closer to those patients.
According to media reports, the hospital is in the process of recruiting a certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant to be the provider at the primary and specialty care clinic.
The hospital says a physician from Avera Medical Group in Aberdeen will also regularly see patients in the clinic.
