Authorities arrest 2 more in sex trafficking sting
SIOUX FALLS (AP) — An Internet crimes against children task force has made two more arrests as part of its investigation into sex trafficking at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Federal, state and Rapid City authorities say that 42-year-old James Eugene Larive Jr. of Belle Fourche and 20-year-old Curtis Ray Austin of Rapid City have been arrested for solicitation of a minor. Attorney information for Larive and Austin was not immediately available.
Last week, authorities arrested seven men on charges of trying to pay for sex with underage girls after responding to online classified ads placed during the rally. Officials say the men responded to the ads and then negotiated with undercover agents who were acting as pimps for 12- and 13-year-old girls.
