Austin Jacob Miller, 21, died Sunday, August 24, 2014, from injuries sustained in a car accident near Canova, SD. Visitation will be from at 12-4 pm on Wednesday August 27 at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem and will resume at 6 pm with family present at the Church of the Epiphany in Epiphany, SD with a 7 pm prayer service. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 28, at the church.

Austin was born in Mitchell, SD, on June 22, 1993, to Kimberly (Neuberger) and Derrin Miller. He lived on the family farm until he graduated from Hanson High School, Alexandria, SD, in May 2011.

Austin played baseball from Little League through Legion and Amateur Leagues.

Austin was employed at Central Farmers Co-op. He worked at the elevator where he was an applicator and sprayer. He worked long hours, but he loved his job and was proud of working in agriculture.

Austin had a kind heart and was always there for his friends with a little grin and a few words of encouragement for them. He loved life and wanted to make as many memories as he could. He loved fixing things and recently started fixing up cars for racing.

He was a member of the Church of the Epiphany, in Epiphany, SD.

Austin is survived by: his parents, Derrin and Kim Miller; two brothers, Marshall and Tanner all of Spencer, SD; grandparents, Duane "Stub" Miller of Canova and Hilary and Dorothy Neuberger of Eden, SD; great-grandmother, Regina Lentz of Watertown, SD; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marcella Miller.
