Area students take top honors at USD portfolio competition
Two area students were part of the University of South Dakota team for Coyote Capital Management that recently placed first in the student managed portfolio competition at the Global Asset Management Education III Forum hosted by Quinnipiac University earlier this month in New York City.
The team included Jill Guericke, White Lake, CCM portfolio manager and consumer discretionary sector team co-leader; and Erik Muckey, Corsica, CCM president and technology sector team leader.
Coyote Capital Management is a studentmanaged investment fund designed to give students hands-on experience as money managers. The fund was started with a $10,000 donation from Larry Ness of First Dakota National Bank in December 2001.
