WOONSOCKET — Three Kimball/White Lake players had double-digit kills numbers in a five-set win over Sanborn Central/ Woonsocket Thursday in a high school volleyball match.

Set scores were 25-23, 25-23, 22-24, 24-26, 15-10.

Haley Pazour tallied 14 kills and 16 digs for a double-double for the WiLdKats. Ivy Hains and Jazmyn Hinker each had 10 kills, while Mary Kroupa had a match-high 22 assists in the win.

The Blackhawks were led by Marissa Weber with 14 kills and five blocks. Myah Selland added 13 kills and five blocks, while Morgan Selland had 23 digs. Tayla Weber tallied 17 assists and Savannah Swenson had 12 digs.

The WiLdKats (13-7) play Platte-Geddes Tuesday in Platte, while the Blackhawks (14-7) play Corsica/ Stickney Monday in Forestburg.

Hanson 3, Ethan 0

ETHAN — The Hanson volleyball team topped Ethan 25-21, 25-16, 25-23 Thursday to earn its 15th straight win.

Darbi Gustafson had 13 kills, Morgan Tuttle recorded 10 kills and Rachel Hawkins added seven digs for Ethan. Kaycee McGuire had three aces and Holley Lindeman tallied 21 assists in the loss.

Hanson’s Kynedi Cheeseman recorded 18 kills, while Katlyn Schroeder had seven kills. Leah Marsh had 15 digs and Sydney Dodd added 12. Sarah Kayser had three blocks and Emily Brown chipped in with 16 assists.

Hanson (19-1) won the JV game and plays Scotland Monday, while Ethan (17-5) plays at Avon Monday.

Bon Homme 3, Corsica/Stickney 1

TYNDALL — Caitlin McLouth recorded 18 kills and three blocks to help the Bon Homme Cavaliers beat Corsica/Stickney Thursday in three sets.

Set scores were 17-25, 25-12, 25-22, 25-17.

Morgan Rothschadl chipped in with 13 digs and four aces, while Liz Kubal had seven kills and Kelsey Sutera had five aces and six kills.

Micayla Bamberg led the way for Corsica/Stickney with 11 kills and five blocks. Hope Menning had nine kills, Brittni Moke had 17 digs and Rachel Milligan had 24 assists.

Bon Homme won the JV match 2-0.

The Cavaliers (16-5) host Parkston Tuesday in Tyndall, while the Jaguars (4-14) play Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Monday in Forestburg.

Parker 3, Parkston 1

PARKER — Parker defeated Parkston 3-1 Thursday in high school volleyball action.

Set scores were 25-10, 25-19, 20-25, 25-21.

Parkston’s Laura Weiss had a team-best 12 kills and added four blocks and five digs. Whitney Weber tallied 14 assists, five digs and two aces. Abbie Mechtenberg and Hanna Heisinger each recorded seven digs.

Parker’s Allison Sanner had 20 kills to lead all players and Jenny Smith tallied 38 assists and 13 digs.

Parkston (13-8) plays Mount Vernon/Plankinton Monday, while Parker (22-4) hosts Flandreau Tuesday.

Mitchell Christian 3, Dakota Christian 0

Emily Reynen tallied a match-high seven blocks in Mitchell Christian’s 25-14, 25-19, 25-15 victory over Dakota Christian Thursday in Mitchell.

Reynen also had five kills and one ace in the win. Emily Schrag recorded a match-high 19 assists, two aces and three digs. Ashley Schmit added six kills, four blocks and four digs.

Dakota Christian was led by Germaine Niewenhuis with 10 assists and three digs. Abbi BaanHofman had five kills, five blocks and two digs.

Mitchell Christian (9-10) plays at Andes Central Oct. 25, while the Cadets (3-17) play in the Eagle Showdown Saturday in Lake Andes.

Avon 3, Freeman 1

FREEMAN — The Avon Pirates beat Freeman in four sets Thursday in high school volleyball action.

Set scores were 25-20, 24-26, 25-19, 25-21.

Ariana Oorlog led the way for Avon with 10 kills and eight digs. Chesney Nagel added three kills, three blocks, 10 digs and six aces. Amanda Reiff chipped in with three kills and 10 digs.

Freeman was led by Nicole Hinckley, who recorded 11 kills, four blocks and five digs. Shelby Jensen added nine kills, two blocks and 10 digs, while Vanessa Dowden had eight kills five digs and one assists.

Freeman won the JV match 2-0.

Avon (10-10) plays Ethan Monday in Avon, while Freeman (3-12) hosts Hanson Tuesday in Freeman.

Scotland 3, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 0

TRIPP — Carley Skorepa recorded 14 kills and eight digs to help Scotland beat Tripp-Delmont/Armour Thursday in three sets.

Set scores were 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.

Jessica Thum chipped in with eight kills, 11 digs and two aces for the Highlanders. Amber Alvey added 23 assists, seven digs, four aces, one block and two kills and Jacycie Geiman had 11 digs and four kills.

The Nighthawks were led by Payton Schafers, who tallied six kills. Hannah Just added five assists, while Becca Brown had a team-leading 10 digs.

Scotland (7-12) hosts Hanson Monday in Scotland, while TDA (2-16) plays at the Eagle Showdown Saturday in Lake Andes.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, West Central 0

HARTFORD — Mount Vernon/Plankinton extended its win streak to 16 games with a three-set win over West Central in high school volleyball action Thursday in Hartford.

Set scores were 26-24, 25-15, 26-24.

Jazmin Waite led the Titans with 10 kills, while Mikayla Weiss contributed 25 assists. Kallyn Prangley had a team-high 25 assists and Megan Bultsma added six blocks.

Ali Lacey led the Trojans with seven kills and 18 digs.

The Titans won the JV game.

MV/P (18-2) hosts Parkston Monday in Mount Vernon, while West Central (9-9) will be at a tournament hosted by Dakota Christian in New Holland.

Wagner 3, Andes Central 0

WAGNER — Wagner topped Andes Central in three sets in a high school volleyball match Thursday in Wagner.

Set scores were 25-12, 25-9, 25-11.

Emily Brunsing had a team-high 10 kills for the Red Raiders, while Ali Kuca added seven kills and three blocks. Kayla Deurmier contributed 16 assists for Wagner, which won the JV match.

Dennisha Johanneson led the Eagles with 11 kills and five digs, while Payton Johanneson had four blocks and five kills.

The Red Raiders (18-5) host Winner Tuesday in Wagner, while Andes Central (10-9) hosts the Eagle Showdown tournament Saturday in Lake Andes.

Gregory 3, Burke/South Central 1

GREGORY — Gregory topped Burke/South Central 25-16, 25-23, 24-26, 25-14 Thursday in Gregory.

Gregory was led by Briana Leber with 13 kills and 13 digs for a double-double, while Allison Sundquist contributed 12 kills and one block. Codi Horst racked up 14 digs for the Gorillas, and Brett Steffen added 34 assists.

Grace Hazen had a team-high nine kills and added 11 digs for the Cougars, while Jenny Higgins added seven kills and 11 digs. Shailhyn Schweigert had 21 assists and 10 digs for Burke/South Central, which won the JV match.

Gregory (10-10) plays West Boyd, Nebl., Tuesday in Gregory, while Burke/South Central (4-17) plays in a tournament Oct. 26 in Chamberlain.

Wessington Springs 3, Wolsey-Wessington 2

WOLSEY — Wessington Springs held on for a five-set victory over Wolsey-Wessington in a high school volleyball match Thursday in Wolsey.

Wessington Springs was led by Sheyanne Brodkorb with 13 kills, five aces and 24 digs, while Devin Tebay added five blocks and 15 digs. Morgan Tebay contributed seven kills and 12 assists and Lexi Olinger added 29 assists.

Wolsey-Wessington got 12 kills, 12 digs and five blocks from Brittany Bergquist, while Abbey Tschetter added four kills, five blocks and 12 digs.

Wessington Springs (7-15) plays James Valley Christian Tuesday in Wessington Springs, while Wolsey-Wessington (11-9) plays Dakota Christian Monday in Wolsey.

Platte-Geddes 3, Chamberlain 1

CHAMBERLAIN — Platte-Geddes topped Chamberlain 25-21, 23-25, 25-14, 25-14 in high school volleyball action Thursday in Chamberlain.

The Black Panthers were led by Josie DeGroot with nine kills, five blocks and 14 digs. Jermaine Nelson added five aces, while Madi Whalen racked up 21 digs in the win.

The Cubs got nine assists and 15 digs from Abbey Handel, while Kennedy Wagner contributed five kills, two aces and 10 assists.

Platte-Geddes won the JV match 2-0.

Chamberlain (4-15) plays Crow Creek Monday in Stephan, while Platte-Geddes (9-10) plays Tripp-Delmont/Armour Monday in Platte.

Lyman 3, Philip 1

PHILIP — Anna Flitner recorded 19 kills, 19 digs and three aces to help Lyman beat Philip Thursday in four sets.

Set scores were 25-15, 25-27, 25-14, 25-12.

Bailey Almond chipped in with 16 assists, seven kills and eight aces, while Jessica Welter had seven kills and Brooklyn Halverson had six blocks for Lyman. Sara Herman added 10 digs and Hanna Thiry had 12 assists.

Philip won the JV match 2-1.

Lyman (20-7) plays Highmore-Harrold Tuesday in Highmore.

Viborg-Hurley 3, Marion 1

HURLEY — The Marion Bears fell to Viborg-Hurley in four sets Thursday.

Set scores were 22-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-13.

No stats were reported for this match despite attempts to reach coaches.

Marion (14-7) plays Alcester-Hudson Monday in Alcester.

White River 3, Colome 0

WHITE RIVER — The Colome Cowgirls lost in three sets Thursday to White River.
