Area high school football roundup: Serr rushes for 360 yards in Burke/South Central win
LAKE ANDES —Senior Turner Serr had 27 carries for 360 yards to lift Burke/South Central past Andes Central 52-14 Friday in high school football action.
Zach Sebern was 2-for-2 in passing for 26 yard and Ethan Fernau had one catch for nine yards for the Cougars. Turner Serr had 14 tackles and Jordan Jones had eight tackles and one sack.
For Andes Central, Joey Evans had 20 carries for 55 yards and was 6-for-12 passing for 70 yards. Zach Cournoyer had one reception for 20 yards. On defense, Evans had 12 tackles and Angel Alcaraz had nine tackles.
The Cougars (2-1) play Gayville-Volin Friday, while Andes Central (1-2) hosts Scotland Friday.

WHITE LAKE — Kurt Braun threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns to lead Gregory past Kimball/White Lake 38-20 in high school football action Friday.
Gavin Thomas was Braun’s main target. He caught three passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Sean Kafka had one catch for 76 yards. Braun also rushed for 91 yards on 25 carries.
Kimball/White Lake was led by Riley Talbott and Turner Blasius. Talbott had 44 yards on 11 carries, while Blasius had 33 yards on eight carries. Talbott connected for a 42-yard touchdown pass to Corbin Heath.

MARTY — Jayden VanZee and Spencer Miller each scored two touchdowns to help the Platte-Geddes/Dakota Christian football team defeat Marty Indian 61-14 Friday.
Miller scored on a 3-yard touchdown in the first quarter and again on a 40-yard run in the third quarter. He finished with 100 yards on seven carries, while Nate Spawn had 97 rushing yards. The Black Panthers finished with 453 yards on the ground.
Marty was led by Ryan Shields, who had two receptions for 103 yards and one touchdown.

ALCESTER — The Alcester-Hudson football team defeated Hanson 16-6 in high school football action Friday.
Colin Walth had 10 carries for 129 yards and one touchdown, while Erik Barnes racked up 51 yards on eight attempts and one touchdown for the Cubs.
For Hanson, Jacob Paradeis carried the ball 17 times for 112 yards and one touchdown. Andy Craig had 12 carries for 73 yards. Paradeis also added a team-high nine tackles, and Ryan Guericke had seven.

Terrance Kinzer had 10 rushes for 91 yards and one touchdown. He also went 4-for-7 in passing with 84 yards and three touchdowns. Cole McCarty ran the ball 11 times for 76 yards and two touchdowns for the Cowboys.
On defense, Will Cahoy led the Cowboys with 11 tackles and Reed Harter had six tackles and one interception.

Howard’s Luke Loudenburg led the team with 34 carries for 223 yards and three touchdowns. Isaiah Glanzer had seven carries for 96 yards for the Tigers. Nick Pardy had 12 tackles for Howards’ defense.
For Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan, Wade Miller had 16 rushes for 100 yards, and Blake Bartscher completed 7 of 14 passes for 117 yards. Ethan Riggs had 15 tackles on defense for the Seahawks.

SCOTLAND — Brandon Kocmich and Devin Tolsma each rushed for over 100 yards as the Avon Pirates defeated Scotland 44-12 Friday.
Kocmich rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns, while Tolsma had a team-leading 170 yards and one touchdown on four carries.
The Pirates finished with 370 yards rushing.
Scotland was led by Blake Konstanz, Tim Bodden and Alex Kotalik. Konstanz rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown, while Bodden had 56 yards on nine carries and Kotalik had one carry for 66 yards and a touchdown.

CHAMBERLAIN — Hunter Hallock had 149 yards on the ground to help Chamberlain defeat Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 20-14 Friday.
With the game tied at 14, Hallock scampered 19 yards for the game winning touchdown with 35 seconds to go in the fourth quarter. He also had an interception on defense.
Chamberlain quarterback Chris Schwartz had 19 yards passing and 68 yards rushing.
Zach Kenobbie led the Chamberlain defense with 2.5 tackles and one sack.
