STICKNEY — Mason Van Vuuren had 11 carries for 156 yards and had four touchdowns to lead Corsica/Stickney over Platte-Geddes/Dakota Christian 50-0 Friday. The game ended in the third quarter due to the mercy rule.

Eli VanRoekel recorded a touchdown and 93 yards on nine carries for the Jaguars, who had 314 yards of total offense. Carson Kostal led defensively with 12 tackles and Walker Baan Hofman tallied eight tackles.

No stats were reported for the Black Panthers.

Corsica/Stickney (4-1) plays at Colome Friday, while the Black Panthers (2-4) have a bye week then host Colome Oct. 18.

GREGORY — The Gregory football team beat Scotland 46-6 in a high school football game Friday in Gregory.

Kurt Braun had 17 attempts for 120 yards and two touchdowns for the Gorillas, while Brandon Warnke had 15 tackles and one fumble.

For Scotland, Dan Stibral had 10 tackles and Ronnie Bodden had nine tackles and one fumble recovery.

Gregory (5-1) plays Andes Central Friday in Lake Andes. Scotland (3-3) plays Burke/South Central Friday in Scotland.

MOUNT VERNON — Kimball/White Lake scored 26 first-half points en route to beating Mount Vernon/ Plankinton 40-22 Friday.

Titan quarterback Deric Denning had two completions for 18 yards, while Cote Hinker had 39 carries for 229 yards and three touchdowns. Hinker led defensively with 7.5 tackles.

Eathen Gaulke had 14 carries for 78 yards for the WiLdKats, who recorded 177 yards rushing. Riley Talbott was 1-for-1 in passing for 36 yards. Gaulke had 19 tackles and Noah Munsen tallied 18 tackles in the win.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton (1-4) hosts Canistota Friday in Mount Vernon, while the WiLdKats (5-1) have a bye week and host Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan Oct. 18 in Kimball.

For Chamberlain, Chris Schwartz had 26 attempts for 85 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Dominiack recorded six tackles and three tackles for loss in the win. Schwartz also had three interceptions.

Chamberlain (1-4) plays St. Francis Indian Friday in St. Francis. Mobridge-Pollock (2-3) plays at Winner Friday.

Avon (6-0) plays Marty Indian Friday in Marty. Gayville-Volin (1-4) plays Viborg-Hurley Friday in Gayville.

For McCook Central/Montrose, Jerry Kappenman had 12 attempts and 60 yards for two touchdowns and Tyler Cleveland led defensively with seven tackles.

McCook Central/Montrose (2-3) plays Redfield-Doland Friday in Salem. Sioux Valley (2-3) plays Beresford Friday in Volga.

HITCHCOCK — Woonsocket/ Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central came back from an early 16-point deficit, but eventually fell to Hitchcock-Tulare 32-12 in high school football action Friday in Hitchcock.

After two early rushing scores for Hitchcock-Tulare, the Spartans answered with two scores of their own to pull within four points in the third quarter.

Jarid Bechen found the end zone for the Spartans on a 46-yard run. Austin Messmer finished with 141 yards rushing on 31 carries and scored on a 53-yard run.

The Spartans (3-2) host Highmore-Highland Friday in Wessington Springs.

TYNDALL — Bon Homme took off in the first half against Sioux Falls Christian and held on for a 26-13 win in high school football action Friday in Tyndall.

After SFC scored first on a 42-yard run from Hayden Thompson, the Cavaliers (3-2) rolled up 29 unanswered points for their third-consecutive win.

Senior quarterback Dakota Bodden rushed for 171 yards on 11 carries and two touch-downs, highlighted by a 55-yard score in the third quarter.

Hunter Young added 96 rushing yards on six carries and racked up nine tackles on defense. Scott Wieseler also had nine tackles for the Cavaliers.

Bon Homme plays Wagner at 7 p.m. Friday in Wagner.

HOWARD — Howard rolled up 331 rushing yards in a 38-3 victory over Hanson Friday in Howard.

Luke Loudenburg ran the ball 23 times for 224 yards and a touchdown for the Tigers. Quarterback Gunner Gilbertson accounted for three Howard scores, rushing for two and finding Tanner Henkel on a 25-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

Hanson got on the board in the second quarter when quarterback Jerrod Zens hit Jacob Paradeis for a 55-yard touchdown.

Howard (5-0) plays Tripp-Delmont/Armour Friday in Armour, while Hanson (0-5) plays Menno/Marion Friday in Alexandria.
