PLATTE -- Winner had three players score in double figures and another add double-digit rebounds in the Warriors' 59-49 win over Platte-Geddes in a girls' high school basketball game Thursday.


Winner's Sara Husher had 13 points, five rebounds and five steals, Kelsey Bertram had 12 points and five steals and Katie Mathis added 11 points and six rebounds.

Cassidy Hanson scored eight points and had a team-high 11 rebounds for Winner, which was 11-of-21 from the foul line.

Platte-Geddes' Josie DeGroot had 18 points and eight rebounds, Kelly Knudson had 14 points and seven rebounds and Shelby Rabenberg added seven points and six rebounds.

The Black Panthers were 15-of-20 from the free-throw line and moved to 13-6 on the season. They play at Wagner Thursday.

Winner (11-6) plays at McLaughlin today.

MONTROSE -- Dell Rapids trailed at halftime but came back to defeat McCook Central/Montrose 40-33 Thursday.

The Quarriers (6-11) were led by Mikaela Stofferahn with nine points.

Jean Skoglund paced the Cougars with 15 points.

MC/M will travel to Tri-Valley Monday.

CHAMBERLAIN -- Chamberlain raised its record to 16-1 with a 53-38 win over Bon Homme Thursday.

Kennedy Wagner and Corrina Reuer led the Cubs with 12 points each.

Chamberlain was 19-of-55 for 35 percent from the field and 11-of-16 for 69 percent from the free-throw line.

Kelsey Sutera and Emily Pechous each scored eight points for the Cavaliers.

Bon Homme (6-11) was 13-of-45 for 29 percent from the floor and 11-of-17 for 65 percent.

Chamberlain is at Wagner tonight and Bon Homme takes on Dakota Christian Saturday in Tyndall.

LENNOX -- Parkston jumped to a 26-15 halftime lead and hung on to defeat Lennox 43-40.

Logan Wagner scored 17 points for Parkston followed by Alexis Horstman with 14 points.

The Trojans (11-6) made 10 of 35 field goals for 29 percent and 18 of 25 free throws for 72 percent. Parkston had 26 rebounds

Lennox was led by Kayla Kruse with 11 points.

Lennox was 15-of-45 for 33 percent from the floor and 7-of-13 for 54 percent from the free throw line.

PRESHO -- Anna Flitner scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Lyman to a 32-28 win over Philip.

The Raiders made 12 field goals and were 6-of-12 for 50 percent from the free-throw line.

Philip was led by Madison Hand with seven points.

Philip made 10 field goals and was 6-of-19 from the free throw line.

Boys' basketball

Canistota 80, Menno 25

CANISTOTA -- Alex Robertson scored 19 points, handed out seven assists and had four steals to lead Canistota, ranked third in Class B, to a 80-25 win over Menno.

The Hawks were also led by Boone DeKramer with 16 points and Jason VanWinkle and Tyler Decker had 12 points each.

Canistota (14-1) was 34-of-59 for 58 percent from the field and 4-of-17 for 24 percent from the free-throw line. The Hawks turned the ball over 14 times.

Austin Herrboldt scored seven points for the Wolves, who dropped to 6-10 on the year.

Menno was 10-of-35 for 29 percent from the floor and 4-of-8 for 50 percent from the free-throw line,

Menno plays Mitchell Christian Monday and Canistota hosts Ethan tonight.

WHITE LAKE -- The Dakota Christian Cadets had four players hit double figures in a 62-52 win over Kimball/White Lake.

Jake Spoelstra and Darren Sallie led DC with 15 points each, followed by Zach VanZee with 14 points and Carter Dykstra with 10 points.

The Cadets (8-8) were 24-of-54 for 44 percent from the floor and 11-of-21 for 53 percent from the free-throw line. DC outrebounded the WiLdKats 35-26.

K/WL was led by Jacob Kirsch with 21 points with Kyle Peters dropping in 12 points and Jesse Taylor followed with 10 points.

The WiLdKats (10-5) were 14-of-59 for 24 percent from the field and 9-of-18 for 50 percent from the free-throw line.

K/WL will host Parkston in White Lake on Saturday and DC will entertain James Valley Christian tonight.

CORSICA -- Adam Bormann scored 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Corsica/Stickney to a 63-59 overtime win over Freeman.

The Jaguars were also paced by Austin Tilton with 18 points and Lane Thomas with 11 points.

C/S (10-5) made 21 of 48 field goals for 44 percent and 12 of 15 free throws for 80 percent.

Shaun Becker scored 23 points for the Flyers followed by Cole Paulson with 14 points and Caleb Lang with 10 points.

Freeman (10-7) was 20-of-53 for 38 percent from the floor and 15-of-21 for 71 percent from the free-throw line.

C/S takes on Castlewood Saturday at the Corn Palace as part of the Dakota Wesleyan University Classic and Freeman hosts Irene/Wakonda Monday.

The Titans were led by Jared Long and Kellam Karst with 13 points each, Nick Lawson with 12 points and Deric Denning with 10 points.

MV/P (11-5) made 35 of 59 field goals for 59 percent and 10 of 12 free throws for 83 percent.

Clayton Dye scored 17 points for the Huskies followed by Jacob Schweitzer with 15 points.

B/E (5-11) was 19-of-46 for 46 percent from the floor and 12-of-15 for 80 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bobcats were led by Josh Stahl with 17 points and Noah Yoder with 11 points.

MILLER -- Miller broke to a 26-12 halftime lead and rolled to a 62-29 win over Wessington Springs.

Beau Keeter led the Rustlers with 15 points and Lee Siverben added 13 points.

Miller was 27-of-60 from the field and 6-of-9 from the free-throw line.

The Spartans were paced by Braden Jones with 14 points.

Wessington Springs was 6-of-9 from the free-throw line.
