Area high school basketball roundup: SCW girls slip past Ethan
ETHAN — Myah Selland recorded a double-double to help the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket girls’ basketball team beat Ethan 57-56 Monday.
Selland tallied 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Marissa Weber chipped in with 17 points, while Shelby Selland added 12 points.
The Blackhawks were 23-of-41 from the field and 5-of-11 from the free-throw line.
Ethan was led by Darbi Gustafson, who scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Rachel Hawkins chipped in with 14 points and nine assists, while Ellie Hohn had five steals.
The Rustlers were 21-of-45 from the field and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line. Ethan (11-4) won the JV game 37-25.
