MURDO -- Lyman defeated Bennett County 55-30 in the fifth-place game at the Jones County Invitational on Saturday in a boys' high school basketball game.
Lyman was led in scoring by Jaylen Uthe, who scored 15 points. Hunter Schindler had 13. Lyman shot 18-of-34 from the field and went 18-of-23 from the free-throw line. Lyman had 24 total rebounds and 14 turnovers.

James Valley Christian defeated Iroquois 57-22 at the boys' 281 Conference tournament on Saturday. James Valley Christian was led in soring by Nathan Wedel and Caleb Stahl, who each scored eight points. Jayden Waldner and Seth Knight, each had six points.
Iroquois was led in scoring by Chase Decker, who sored seven points.

HURON -- Hitchcock Tulare defeated Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 68-57 at the boys' 281 conference tournament on Saturday. Hitchcock-Tulare was led in soring by Garrett Masat, who sored 28 points. Trent Hofer had 18 points and Maurcel Gaines-Banister had 10 points.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was led in scoring by Nick Miller, who scored 13 points. Davion Brooks and Tyler Krueger each had 10 points.

FREEMAN -- Bridgewater-Emery defeated Chester 57-44 Saturday in girls' high school basketball action.
Elizabeth Schnabel led the Huskies with a double-double scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Justine Dye scored 14 points and Tiana Kayswer had 11 points.
Bridgewater-Emery shot 19-of-38 from the field and went 14-of-22 from the free-throw line. The Huskies had 31 rebounds and 21 turnovers.
