TRIPP -- Kelli Batterman recorded game-highs of 20 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double and helped lead Tripp-Delmont/Armour over Marty Indian 72-39 Friday in a girls' high school basketball game.

Hannah Just scored 19 points and Rebecca Brown had 12 for the Nighthawks, who were 26-of-59 from the field and 20-of-32 from the foul line. TDA, which won the JV game 37-30, outrebounded the Braves 44-22 in the game.

Armanda Iron Elk scored a team-best 16 points and Apollonia Zephier had 10 points for the Braves, who were 14-of-60 from the field and 9-of-13 from the free-throw line.

TDA (2-15) hosts Avon Friday in Armour, while Marty Indian (7-8) plays at Santee, Neb., Thursday.

McCook Central/Montrose 38, Garretson 36

MONTROSE -- McCook Central/Montrose held Garretson to five points in the fourth quarter as it went on to win 38-36 in a high school girls' basketball game Friday.

C.J. Ristesund scored a team-best 10 points and Rachel Bartscher scored nine for the Fighting Cougars, who were 15-of-36 from the field and 5-of-10 from the foul line.

Haley Edmundson had a game-high 15 points and eight rebounds and Casey Matthiesen had 13 points for the Blue Dragons, who were 13-of-37 from the field and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line.

McCook Central/Montrose, which won the JV and C games, is 8-8 and plays at Wagner today, while Garretson is 5-10 and plays Elkton-Lake Benton Tuesday.

Parkston 73, Gregory 33

GREGORY -- Two players scored in double figures as the Parkston girls' basketball team beat Gregory 73-33 Friday.

McKenzie Weidenbach scored 11 points, Logan Wagner 10 and Taylor Bormann added nine. Erica Herrold brought down a game-high 12 rebounds and Alexis Horstman grabbed nine rebounds for the Trojans, who shot 46 from the field, 46 from behind the arc and 54 percent from the free-throw line.

Sierra Thomas had eight points and four assists and Courtney Opbroek and Briana Leber scored seven points and grabbed seven rebounds. The Gorillas shot 27 percent from the field, 18 percent from behind the arc and 57 percent from the foul line.

Parkston won the JV game.

Parkston (9-6) hosts Scotland Monday, while Gregory (1-13) plays White River Tuesday.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 50, Corsica/Stickney 41

CORSICA -- Shelby Selland had 14 points to lead Sanborn Central/Woonsocket over Corsica/Stickney 50-41 in a high school girls' basketball game Friday.

Marissa Weber recorded 11 points and five assists and Rachel Selland grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds for the Blackhawks, who were 21-of-54 from the field and 5-of-8 from the foul line. The team recorded 32 rebounds and 17 turnovers.

Corsica/Stickney's Hope Menning led all players with 18 points and Micayla Bamberg had nine points and four rebounds. The Jaguars were 13-of-37 from the field and 10-of-13 from the free-throw line. The team had 16 rebounds and 16 turnovers.

SCW (14-1) won the JV game 31-14 and plays Wolsey-Wessington Saturday in Forestburg, while the Jaguars (8-9) host Andes Central Tuesday.

Avon 41, Bon Homme 39

AVON -- Ariana Oorlog scored a game-high 17 points to help Avon defeat Bon Homme in a high school girls' basketball game Friday.

Avon's Chesney Nagel scored 14 points and Emily Mudder grabbed a team-best eight rebounds. The Pirates were 11-of-41 from the field, 4-of-8 from the three-point range and 11-of-21 from the foul line. Avon had 25 rebounds, 11 steals and seven turnovers.

Emily Pechous led Bon Homme with 12 points and Karlee Kozak had nine points. Pechous and Kozak each had four rebounds. The Cavaliers were 10-of-34 from the field, 4-of-9 from behind the arc and 13-of-17 from the free-throw line.

Bon Homme won the JV game 32-22.

Bon Homme plays Platte-Geddes Monday, while Avon hosts Ethan today.

Boys' basketball

Bon Homme 53, Avon 48

TYNDALL -- The Bon Homme boys' basketball team outscored Avon 19-12 in the fourth quarter to lift it to a 53-48 victory Friday.

Mike Mesman had 12 points, Scott Wieseler scored 11 and grabbed six rebounds and Scott Van Winkle added 10 points for Bon Homme, which won the JV game 54-26. The Cavaliers shot 45 percent from the field, 30 percent from behind the arc and 60 percent from the free-throw line.

Logan Mudder scored a game-high 18 points and Brandon Kocmich recorded 13 points and brought down nine rebounds. The Pirates shot 39 percent from the field and 27 percent from the three-point range.

Bon Homme (5-10) plays at Chamberlain today, while Avon (5-9) plays Viborg-Hurley Tuesday.

Kimball/White Lake 67, Ethan 52

KIMBALL -- Jesse Taylor scored a team-high 19 points to lead Kimball/White Lake past Ethan 67-52 in a high school boys' basketball game Friday.

Eathen Gaulke and Jacob Kirsch had 13 points apiece and Kyle Peters had 12 points and nine rebounds for the WiLdKats, who shot 47 percent from the field, 17 percent from the three-point range and 71 percent from the foul line. Willie Norwood brought down a team-best 10 rebounds.

Blake Bartscher had a team-high 24 points and Jace Connor scored 17 points and had eight rebounds for the Rustlers, who shot 30 percent from the field, 24 percent from behind the arc and 69 percent from the free-throw line. Tyler Myers had 10 rebounds in the loss.

KWL won the JV game 31-22.

The WiLdKats (9-4) play Lyman Tuesday, while Ethan (8-6) hosts Marion Tuesday.

Corsica/Stickney 64, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 45

CORSICA -- The Corisca/Stickney boys' basketball team defeated Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 64-45 Friday in Corsica.

The Jaguars were led by Adam Bormann with 17 points. Austin Titlon scored 13 points and Lane Thomas recorded 10 assists. Corsica/Stickney, which won the JV game 48-42, was 23-of-54 from the field for 43 percent and 10-of-13 from the line for 77 percent. The Jaguars had 37 team rebounds and nine turnovers in the win.

Nick Miller scored 12 points and brought down 14 rebounds for a double-double for the Blackhawks, who were 17-of-48 from the field for 45 percent and 7-of-12 from the foul line for 58 percent. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket had 30 team rebounds and nine turnovers

Corsica/Stickney (9-5) plays Freeman Thursday in Corsica, while the Blackhawks (10-5) play Wolsey-Wessington today.

HOWARD -- Four Freeman boys' basketball players scored in double figures to help lift the Flyers to a 64-48 victory over Howard Friday.

Cole Paulson and Arron Lickteig finished with 16 points apiece. Jordan Rinehart added 11 and Shaun Becker chipped in with 10.

Howard was led by Landon Laible, who scored 11 points, and Andrew Schwader, who finished with 10.

The Tigers were 18-of-50 from the field and committed 18 turnovers.

Freeman also won the junior varsity game 32-27.

Freeman (10-5) plays Canistota today in the Cornbelt Classic in Freeman. Howard (6-9) takes on Hanson at the Cornbelt Classic in Freeman.

Dakota Christian 46, Bridgewater-Emery 39

NEW HOLLAND -- Darren Fallis scored 14 points to help Dakota Christian defeat Bridgewater-Emery 46-39 Friday.

Carter Dykstra chipped in with 10 points for the Cadets, who shot 40 percent from the field and were 10-of-16 from the free-throw line.

Dykstra also tied for the team lead in rebounds with Jake Spoelstra. The pair had seven a piece.

Bridgewater-Emery was led by Clayton Dye, who scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to record a double-double.

Terry Webber had 12 points for the Huskies and Jacob Schweitzer added 10.

Dakota Christian (7-8) takes on Kimball/ White Lake Thursday in White Lake. Bridgewater-Emery (5-8) plays today at the Cornbelt Classic in Freeman.

Viborg-Hurley 83,

Freeman Academy 39

HURLEY -- Viborg-Hurley beat Freeman Academy 83-39 Friday night to win the Tri-Valley Conference regular season title.

Viborg-Hurley was 30-of-60 from the field and 17-of-22 from the free-throw line.

Jack Huether led the way for the Cougars with 15 points. Tyler Gerdes added 12, and Trevor Jacobsen chipped in with 10.

Josh Stahl finished with 10 points for Freeman Academy and was the team's only player to score in double figures.

Viborg-Hurley also won the junior varsity game 36-35.

Freeman (1-14) plays Centerville Monday in Freeman. Viborg-Hurley 12-2 hosts Avon Tuesday in Viborg.
